Aleris — Healthcare Ecosystem
A group site, a family of specialist sites, and a brand rebuilt to work on a screen
One company, dozens of specialities, and patients who search in a hundred different words.
Aleris covers hospitals, specialist clinics, primary care, elderly care and housing, and in 2016 all of it arrived through a web presence organised by department rather than by need. The answer was to split rather than consolidate: a group site that routes, and a site of its own for every speciality. What holds them together is the system, so moving between them never feels like leaving the company.
Two ways in, because people arrive knowing two different things.
Some know the speciality and go straight to the finder. Some know only the symptom, so conditions are listed in the words patients actually use.
The booking bar follows you down every page.
Booking is the only thing most visitors came to do, so it never scrolls out of reach. It carries the orange, which appears nowhere else in the system.
Same system, different register.
Aleris Plastik runs the group's structure and components, but its photography is aspirational rather than clinical and its navigation is built around treatments, not departments. Unmistakably Aleris, and it does not sound like a hospital.
