Täby Municipality — Municipality Website

A full redesign of täby.se, organised around what residents actually arrive for, and named best municipality website of 2017

Municipality Website

The redesign started with the tasks residents needed to complete.

Research with residents, businesses, schools and childcare staff showed how people described their needs and where they expected to find information. Those findings shaped a task-based structure organised around residents' language instead of the municipality's internal departments.

Seven areas based on how residents look for information.

Instead of mirroring the municipality's departments, information is grouped into seven top-level areas named in the language residents use. People can start with the subject they need without knowing which department is responsible.

Self-service options are available from every relevant page.

The panel opens over the current page, lists the available actions for that subject and keeps contact information visible. People can begin a task without returning to the home page or navigating to a separate self-service section.

A dedicated section for Täby's development projects.

Täby växer brings current projects together in one place. Each project page combines plans, renderings and a phase tracker, helping residents see what is being built and how far the project has progressed.
